Recognize great players and build community connections using the Nice Play iOS app's props system.

What are Props?

Props are a fun way to give recognition to players in your community. Think of them as digital high-fives that show appreciation for great play, sportsmanship, or community spirit.

Why give props?

  • Build a positive, supportive community
  • Celebrate great plays and improvement
  • Encourage good sportsmanship
  • Make new players feel welcome

How to Give Props

You get 3 props to give out each day. Use them to recognize players who made your games better!

Two ways to give props:

From a Player's Profile:

  1. Tap on any player's name or avatar
  2. Tap the "Give Props" button
  3. Choose a preset prop or create a custom one
  4. Confirm to send

From the Props Tab:

  1. Tap the Props tab at the bottom
  2. Tap "Give Props"
  3. Search for a player from your groups
  4. Choose your prop and send

Daily Limits:

  • • You get 3 props per day (resets at midnight Eastern)
  • • You can only give 1 prop per person per day
  • • You can't give props to yourself
  • • Props are permanent once given

Custom Props

Create your own unique prop with a custom message and emoji!

How to create a custom prop:

  1. When giving props, select "Custom" option
  2. Choose an emoji from the picker (24 options)
  3. Type your message (up to 20 characters)
  4. Preview your prop before sending

Custom prop guidelines:

  • • Maximum 20 characters
  • • Keep it positive and friendly
  • • No inappropriate language (checked automatically)
  • • Be specific to make it meaningful

Examples of great custom props:

  • 🎯 "Epic 3rd shot!"
  • 🔥 "Unstoppable today"
  • ⭐ "Great teacher"
  • 💚 "Welcome to the club!"

Viewing Props

See who's giving and receiving props in your community.

Your Props:

  • • Tap the Props tab to see all props you've received
  • • View who gave you each prop and when
  • • See your total prop count on your profile

Community Props:

  • • Scroll through recent props given in your groups
  • • See who's active in recognizing others
  • • Get inspired by what props people are giving

On Player Profiles:

  • • View all props someone has received
  • • See their most common props
  • • Total prop count displayed prominently

Best Practices

🎯 Be specific and genuine

"Great third shot drops!" is more meaningful than just "Good game"

🌟 Spread them around

Use your 3 daily props on different people to build community

👋 Welcome newcomers

Give props to new players to make them feel included

💪 Recognize improvement

Notice when someone is getting better and acknowledge their growth

🤝 Value sportsmanship
